About the Role
The Company is seeking a Credit Deputy with a Vice President level of experience to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Regional Underwriting Manager in various aspects of the underwriting process, including pipeline management, loan quality, personnel, and deal structuring of complex mortgage transactions. This role requires a history of managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and strong leadership and communication skills to ensure a timely and accurate process of credit reviews. The Credit Deputy will also be involved in onboarding, training, and coaching team members, as well as providing guidance on complex income scenarios and serving as a main point of contact for loan structuring and decision-making. Applicants for the Credit Deputy position should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in credit analysis and underwriting for high net-worth individuals, with a preference for those who have 2+ years of experience managing a team of underwriters. Expert-level knowledge of credit risk and underwriting non-conforming, jumbo loans is essential. Experience in private bank lending, business relationship management, or commercial credit analysis, including providing business financing, is also preferred. The role demands excellent conflict resolution skills, the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, and a college degree or equivalent experience, with an advanced degree being a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at pipeline management and have a proven track record of maintaining a high standard of quality, service, accuracy, and efficiency in a regulated financial environment.
