About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Weather to spearhead the expansion and transformation of its weather-related digital news offerings. This role is pivotal in leading the development of a new vision for the weather vertical, with a strong focus on customer needs and insights. The successful candidate will be responsible for the multi-platform execution of this vision, ensuring that the weather coverage remains a critical and essential part of the brand's digital news experience. A customer-centric leader with a user-centered mindset, the VP, Weather will be at the forefront of driving change and innovation, working closely with editorial, product, design, research, and data teams to create must-use, daily, and actionable weather experiences for the audience.
Applicants for the VP, Weather position should have a minimum of 12 years' of general management or product ownership experience, with a proven track record in delivering new end-to-end product experiences in the media space. Experience in the weather industry is highly valued, and the role requires excellent communication skills, strong ownership of customer experiences, and the ability to manage the needs of multiple stakeholders.
