About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its family office, which encompasses a diverse range of investments including real estate, trusts, estates, and other assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting for the family office, managing the family real estate portfolio, and monitoring investment portfolios. This role also involves leading cash flow management, and liquidity planning, and ensuring clear financial communications with family members. In addition to the family office responsibilities, the CFO will direct all financial and accounting operations for the family's oil and gas business, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations, and will manage the financial aspects of the family foundation, including grant management and endowment.

Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in family offices, real estate, oil and gas, and nonprofit sectors, is required. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in entrepreneurial settings, experience in mergers and acquisitions, and a strategic, collaborative, and communicative approach. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific compliance, and must be adept at coordinating with legal and tax advisors. High ethical standards, discretion, and proficiency in financial management and accounting systems are essential.
