About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the company's growth strategy, with a focus on shaping the future of aviation. This role involves leading the business development team in identifying, pursuing, and closing new opportunities, particularly in the domestic and international DoD, OEM, and commercial markets. The VP will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the company's offerings align with market needs. A key aspect of the role is to lead initiatives for securing defense contracts and to provide expert guidance on regulatory and compliance matters specific to defense contracting.

Applicants must have a professional degree and a minimum of 10 years' of relevant business development experience in the Aerospace & Defense sector, with a proven track record in the aviation industry. The role requires a deep understanding of the aerospace ecosystem, including knowledge of OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory frameworks, as well as at least 5 years' of direct experience with DoD contracts. The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. A background in business, marketing, or finance is preferred, along with experience in managing sales or marketing teams, and a background in the military or with government defense agencies.
