About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Corporate Counsel with a strong background in commercial agreements and privacy matters. The successful candidate will be a key member of the legal team, working closely with commercial, information security, engineering, and other business teams to provide expert legal advice, manage risks, and ensure compliance with privacy, technology, and supply chain issues. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including those with customers, warehouse operators, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for negotiation, problem-solving, and fostering partnerships to enhance the business.
Applicants must have a JD with state bar admission, at least 7 years' of relevant experience, and a proven track record in commercial and vendor agreement negotiation. Experience in data privacy, including the negotiation of data privacy agreements, and a strong understanding of technology and software contracts are essential. The role also requires the ability to monitor and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws, as well as experience in regulatory compliance and contract review. The candidate should be adept at managing outside counsel, have excellent communication skills, and be capable of balancing business needs with legal risks. A background in data privacy and protection, experience in creating and implementing compliance programs, and familiarity with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence are preferred.
