Cloud Security Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply specific functional knowledge and industry best practices. Develop or contribute to solutions for problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of junior employees. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity 2+ years of experience with cloud security environments and incident response Knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, or Lambda Knowledge of AWS or Azure networking concepts like VPCs, subnets, and security groups Ability to work in an Agile, team-based environment using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field Ability to obtain a DoD IAT Level II or III Certification within 60 days of hire
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Java, C, C++, or Go Experience with build automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or DevSecOps Experience interacting with AWS APIs programmatically, such as Boto3 Experience writing and maintaining CloudFormation templates Experience diagnosing and resolving issues within AWS environments Experience with software or systems architecture Knowledge of IAM roles, policies, users, and groups DoD IAT Level II or III Certification
