Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of eight (8) years of accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with elected officials, department heads, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with overseeing all County financials, including budget preparation and administration, financial reporting, audits, payroll, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide sound fiscal leadership to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the County’s financial processes.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement strategies that support long-term growth and stability.
