Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float Pool | 3x12s Rotating | 

Position: Critical Care Float Pool RN (ICU/PCU)
Shift: 3x12s – Rotating (7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM in 4-week blocks)
Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (89 days)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekends: Every other weekend required
 

Position Summary:

Lahey Hospital is seeking experienced and adaptable Critical Care Float Pool RNs to support ICU and PCU units on a rotating shift schedule. This role is ideal for ICU nurses looking to expand their impact across multiple high-acuity settings within a Level I Trauma Center.

Travelers in this role must be confident, flexible, and ready to float where needed within scope.

Requirements:

• ASN or higher – Required
• 2–5 years of recent ICU experience – Required
• Trauma Level I experience – Preferred (Level II may be considered)
• EPIC EMR experience – Required
• Previous travel experience – Preferred
• Current MA RN license – Required at submission
• BLS and ACLS – Required
• Telemetry exam will be administered on Day 1 (pass/fail)
  • Failure may result in assignment termination
• COVID-19 vaccine + booster – Required (no exceptions)

• No local candidates – Must reside at least 50 miles from facility

Floating Details:

• Will float between ICU and PCU as needed
• Must be comfortable transitioning between units within scope
