nnOverview: We are currently seeking to identify (2) Electrical Controls Engineers to join a well-established and growing industrial equipment manufacturer with over 50 years of engineering excellence. One opportunity is ideal for a junior to mid-level candidate with at least 2+ years of relevant experience , and the other is targeted for a senior-level engineer with more years of hands-on experience in electrical design, programming, controls, and industrial automation.
nThis is your chance to join a team that builds large-scale electromechanical systems from concept through completion. From food production lines to custom process and water treatment equipment, you'll be working on machinery that makes a real-world impact.
nnResponsibilities:
n nDesign, develop, and program industrial electrical control systems to meet engineering and client requirements
nCreate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software
nSpecify, select, and configure control system components such as PLCs, VFDs, relays, sensors, and breakers
nProgram PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms )
nLayout and design control panels and motor control centers (MCCs)
nPerform validation testing and troubleshoot electrical systems during build and final assembly
nCollaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and production teams to ensure full integration
nProvide technical documentation including BOMs, manuals, wiring lists, and startup procedures
nTravel as needed for commissioning and system validation (minimal and planned in advance)
nStay current with evolving industry technology, best practices, and safety standards
nnQualifications:
nnWe are hiring for two experience levels. Candidates must meet the criteria for one of the following profiles:
nJunior to Mid-Level Role:
nMinimum 2 years of experience in electrical controls, panel design, or related engineering environment
nExperience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools
nWorking knowledge of industrial components and safety regulations
nBasic PLC programming knowledge or exposure to automation software
nStrong interest in hands-on engineering, testing, and troubleshooting
nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
nSenior-Level Role:
nExperience in electrical controls and industrial automation
nProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and strong PLC/HMI programming experience
nDeep understanding of UL, NEC, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards
nDemonstrated success leading projects or contributing to complex custom machinery builds
nAbility to mentor junior team members and drive design improvements
nBackground in electromechanical system design and manufacturing support
