Material Handler Lead

Hilco Vision has a state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, Ohio! We are currently searching for a Material Handler Lead to join the team! The Material Handler Lead supervises and coordinates the activities of material handlers to ensure the efficient, accurate, and safe movement and storage of materials within the warehouse or distribution center. This hands-on role includes overseeing receiving, storing, staging, and distributing materials, while also managing inventory and maintaining records. 23 years of operation experience. Key Responsibilities: Supervision & Coordination:
Assign tasks and oversee daily operations of material handlers. Coordinate workflows for receiving, storing, staging, and delivering materials. Train new team members and provide ongoing on-the-floor support. Communicate effectively with supervisors, production leads, and other logistics teams. Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts. Identify and locate materials for orders and production use. Collaborate with operations to set up new inventory items and update existing ones. Manage surplus materials to optimize reuse opportunities. Receiving & Shipping:
Verify the accuracy and quality of incoming deliveries. Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment (e.g., Stand-Up Reach Truck). Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and documentation. Material Handling:
Operate various material handling equipment (e.g., Stand-Up Reach Truck, pallet jacks). Store materials safely, securely, and efficiently. Perform equipment checks and report maintenance or repair needs. Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures and best practices. Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organized. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Additional Duties:
Participate in special projects or other duties as assigned. Recommend updates to stock levels or standard items. Assist in monthly inventory reconciliation as needed. Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time. Employee must have worked 85% (148 hours) of the working days in a given month for the home department earning the incentive. Productivity:
Must have efficiency more than 85% minimum for the month. Violations:
If an employee receives a write up due to a policy violation or quality issue, they will not be eligible for the incentive for that month. Employment:
Must be a full time Hilco employee for more than 30 days. The employee must be actively employed on the date of the incentive payout to receive it.
