Substation Drafter
We are seeking a dedicated Drafter/Designer to join our Substation Design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for utilizing standard drafting practices and procedures to assist with a variety of engineering and construction projects. You will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) programs under the guidance of a designer or engineer. Responsibilities
Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings. Apply company CAD standards, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings. Collaborate effectively in a team environment. Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents. Work with precision and accuracy in creating design drawings. Plot and check drawings. Take on additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills
3+ years of Drafting/CAD experience in Substation P&C Design or related experience. Electrical experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities. Attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team player. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam. Willingness to learn and grow. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in Drafting and Design or Engineering. Knowledge of industry and technology trends specific to substations. Familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code. Substation P&C experience. SDS (Substation Design Suite) experience. Work Environment
Join a team of 16 engineers located in Lake Mary, FL, just north of Orlando. We are planning to relocate due to outgrowing our current office space.
