Full Time Position Overview Kiewit Power Engineers has an immediate opening for a motivated Senior Overhead Transmission Engineer to join our growing Power Delivery team. As part of this team of highly specialized design professionals, you will support various transmission and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV, including engineering detailed design and EPC projects for clients across the country. You will be part of a team that supports all aspects of project execution by performing innovative design engineering, reviewing final designs and deliverables, scheduling tasks, and mitigating risks to ensure safe construction operations. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Lead a team to understand client needs, prepare deliverables, and provide project updates. Establish design criteria based on standards. Create and review models of transmission lines in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS TOWER. Review drawings, specifications, and procurement documents for towers and hardware. Develop and review construction packages including plans, profiles, and installation details. Ensure design quality and compliance with codes. Promote design excellence and continuous improvement. Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards. Manage project contracts, quantities, and deliverables. Present reports and analyze data using Microsoft 365 tools. Coordinate resources, schedules, and budgets. Travel as required for site visits and meetings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line design (69kV-500kV preferred). PE license strongly preferred. Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS TOWER. Knowledge of foundation design tools and standards (MFAD, LPILE, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards (NESC, IEEE, RUS, ASCE). Experience leading teams and managing projects. Experience supervising staff and resource planning preferred. Working Conditions Fast-paced office environment; ability to interact professionally and manage workload efficiently. Regular travel within the U.S. and internationally (5-15%).
