This facility is a leading children's hospital that provides specialized maternal-fetal medicine services to the community. Part of a comprehensive medical group network, this center offers advanced care for high-risk pregnancies and maternal complications with state-of-the-art equipment and dedicated staff.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Job Details:
• Coverage needed for 1 week per month, responsible for both call and clinic during this period
• Clinic hours 8am-5pm on weekdays (including call responsibility)
• Night call from 5pm-8am on weekdays
• Weekend call from 7am-7am (24-hour call schedule)
• Manage 5-8 patient encounters per shift
• Must have Texas License or IMLC license
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency
• Texas DEA required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Manage complex maternal conditions including pregnancy-induced hypertension, HELLP syndrome, diabetes, cardiac disorders, pulmonary disorders, renal disorders, and neurological disorders
• Handle autoimmune disorders, hematologic/oncologic disorders, and collagen vascular disease
• Provide care for VBACs, vaginal breech deliveries, placenta previa/abruption, and multiple gestations
• Perform amniocentesis-genetic procedures, cervical cerclage, intrauterine transfusions, and multifetal pregnancy reductions
• Conduct and interpret ultrasounds including Level II/Targeted and echocardiography
• Perform fetal blood sampling and chorionic villus sampling
• Credentialing process takes 60-90 days (earliest start date December)
