A Senior Software Engineer will transform business requirements into technical designs and leverage those designs to develop scalable, performative, secure micro-services solutions using .Net technologies. These activities will be accomplished using agile methodology in a fast paced, collaborative team. A Senior Software Engineer will help make high level technical decisions to drive team direction on new feature requests.

Responsibilities

  • Based on business requirements, create technical designs that are highly performative, scalable and secure.
  • Perform Software Development and API Engineering using .NET framework, Asp.net Core, C#, Azure, SQL, Snowflake and messaging tools such as Kafka
  • Develop secure integrations with external service providers such as e-application vendors, insurance carriers and software providers.
  • Plan and collaborate using agile methodologies with multiple agile teams.
  • Assist in researching and implementing new technologies and design patterns to improve our software products.
  • Production support for previously released features.
  • Evaluate Sentry logs to resolve caught and uncaught service exceptions.

Position Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge to understand the elementary components of the highly complex requirements needed to develop, design, modify, implement, customize and optimize highly integrated software systems to the needs of diverse business processes
  • 5+ years as .Net Core Engineer professional experience
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture, bounded context, domain driven design
  • Experienced in using Entity Framework Core
  • Experienced in Azure/Azure DevOps (or other cloud provider)
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with messaging brokers/event hubs like kafka (or other similar platforms)
  • Experience with SQL schema design and query optimizations
  • Experience in OAuth, SAML, M2M authentication and authorization best practices with both internal and external platforms/frameworks
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and processes

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field
