We are seeking candidates for an Estate Planning Attorney position with a boutique law firm located in Boston, MA. This a consulting opportunity for a seasoned attorney with deep expertise in estate planning and IRS Form 706 estate tax preparation. The primary focus will be assisting the firm in clearing a current backlog of estate planning matters, with potential for ongoing monthly engagements. Estate Planning Attorney - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for an Estate Planning Attorney position with a boutique law firm located in Boston, MA. This a consulting opportunity for a seasoned attorney with deep expertise in estate planning and IRS Form 706 estate tax preparation. The primary focus will be assisting the firm in clearing a current backlog of estate planning matters, with potential for ongoing monthly engagements.
This is a 6+ month contract position that will be $100/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities:
Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives. Prepare and review IRS Form 706 estate tax filings. Provide strategic guidance to clients in developing and implementing estate plans tailored to their needs. Review internally prepared estate planning documents to ensure accuracy and legal soundness. Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner. Collaborate with internal team members to ensure exceptional client service. Maintain professionalism and a team-oriented attitude while contributing to the firm's success.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) and licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. 5+ years of focused experience in estate planning and asset protection planning. Proven ability to engage directly with clients in sensitive and personal discussions regarding their estates. Proficiency with legal and productivity software, including Zoom, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and client-centric mindset.
