Contract Requirement:
Candidate's primary residence must be ≥ 50 miles from facility
? Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse II is a clinically competent, professional nurse who provides safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care to a general unit population with minimal supervision. Grounded in Benner's "From Novice to Expert" framework, the Clinical Nurse II integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical expertise, judgment, and collaboration.
This role is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on established standards of care, physician orders, and hospital policies, while practicing within the legal scope of the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act.
? Key Responsibilities:
Deliver professional nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with the prescribed medical regimen
Apply knowledge of evidence-based practice, patient safety, and clinical standards
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Adapt care based on patient acuity and clinical judgment
Care for COVID-positive patients as needed
Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation (preferred)
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved nursing program
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
BCLS certification (AHA required)
ACLS and PALS certifications required
Epic EMR experience preferred
