RiverTech, LLC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual responsible for Functional Analyst/SME II activities in support of the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC), providing analytical and subject matter expertise (SME) to the Sustainment Capability Development & Integration Directorate (S-CDID). This position directly supports the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) requirements for the sustainment warfighting function.

Lee, VA, involves conducting Capability Development / Assessment work supporting S-CDID. The Sustainment CDID develops, synchronizes, and integrates Army sustainment capabilities within the Army and Joint Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) environments, from concept to capability development for CASCOM and force modernization across DOTMLPF domains, aiming to produce a trained and ready sustainment force integrated into the Army, Combined, and Joint Warfighter. The work supports a unified vision for sustainment, focusing on future capabilities to support the Army of 2030 and 2040, aligned with AFC and JCIDS processes.
Responsibilities
Provide analytical rigor for Concept and Capability assessments, supporting special studies, Capability Based Assessments (CBAs), Threat Based Assessments (TBAs), scenario assessments, doctrine, organizational, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) assessments, and input to strategic reviews. Collaborate with SSI, AFC, other CDIDs, and the sustainment community to enhance analysis in HR and Finance areas.
Support TBA/CBA force modernization, including Task, Gap, and Solutions Analyses. Conduct assessments to inform sustainment requirements, modernization efforts, and resource prioritization. Develop products like capability assessments, logistic estimates, briefing materials, and identify sustainment demand signals and gaps.
Participate in experiments, seminars, exercises, simulations, and modeling to inform JCIDS and SPAR modernization efforts for the Sustainment Warfighting Function.
Utilize databases and collaboration tools such as AFC/FCC FORGE, SharePoint, and virtual servers to manage and maintain related products.
Travel may be required for meetings, data collection, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
Participate in conferences, work groups, drills, and maintain knowledge management SharePoint sites related to the Sustainment Battle Lab.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of Army sustainment experience across strategic, operational, and tactical levels, including deployments or recent operations.
Active SECRET clearance required; TOP-SECRET preferred.
Ability to organize, research, and analyze from strategic to functional levels independently.
Experience with military research, analysis, and graphics generation; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
Relevant experience in theater, corps, division, and brigade operations, modular structures, U.S. Army, joint, and multinational operations.
Knowledge of Joint Capability Areas, NATO concepts, Army Universal Task List, and Joint Universal Task List.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Joint Professional Military Education (JPME), Phase I or II.
Active SECRET or TOP-SECRET clearance.
