Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Art Director with a strong visual sensibility and a deep passion for design to join our creative team at PALECEK, a leader in the luxury furniture industry. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping and expressing the PALECEK brand through compelling visual storytelling, assisting with studio photo shoots, supporting photo and video production, creating print and digital assets, and assisting in the execution of catalogs and lookbooks. The ideal candidate brings a refined aesthetic, a strong understanding of premium product presentation, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Description: Assist in managing studio photo shoots with a focus on high-end furniture products, ensuring styling, lighting, and composition reflect PALECEK’s luxury aesthetic Support photo shoots by managing both studio lighting setups to photograph furniture, lighting, and accessories, capturing the craftsmanship, materials, and design intent behind each piece Oversee and handle post-production editing of images, maintaining the following output: Focus on clean product silos on white backgrounds Assist with lifestyle imagery that highlights texture, scale, and interior styling Assist with video production and editing for product spotlights and behind-the-scenes content Ensure all visual content meets standards for quality, color accuracy, and consistency across platforms and adhere to PALECEK Brand Style Guide Develop visually compelling graphics for a variety of platforms, including digital marketing campaigns, social media, trade shows, print publications, and internal communications Design showroom event posters, signage, flyers, and promotional materials that reflect the elevated tone of the PALECEK brand Collaborate with the Marketing Director, creative team, and external vendors to ensure cohesive brand storytelling and alignment with marketing strategies Illustrate design concepts by creating rough layouts that determine arrangement, typeface, visual hierarchy, and overall aesthetic in line with brand standards Create visual presentations by hand and using design software, incorporating both art and copy layouts for internal and external use Prepare final artwork and layouts for print and digital production, ensuring quality control, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines Contribute to the design and layout of PALECEK’s annual product catalogs and lookbooks Assist with proofreading and auditing content to ensure image resolution, copy accuracy, and layout consistency Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital asset library, ensuring files are current, properly labeled, and accessible to internal teams Coordinate photography, artwork, and printing needs to meet production timelines while maintaining visual consistency across all materials Stay current on trends in graphic design, photography, digital publishing, and brand storytelling to keep creative output fresh and relevant Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Visual Communications, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience 2-4 years of professional experience in graphic design and commercial photography, preferably within the lifestyle, home furnishings, or marketing industries Skilled in photo retouching, video editing, and layout design Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom); experience with Capture One is a plus Strong photography skills with a solid understanding of lighting, composition, camera settings, and styling for both product and lifestyle shoots. Skilled in image editing, color correction, and retouching techniques to produce high-quality, print- and web-ready assets Demonstrated experience in creating content for branding, advertising, and marketing campaigns across digital and print platforms Strong creative thinking and visual storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment Highly organized with excellent time management and file management practices Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Work is performed in a professional office setting with a collaborative, creative team atmosphere The environment typically includes moderate ambient noise from office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and occasional foot traffic This role requires extended periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer or digital design equipment Must be able to regularly stand, sit, walk, speak clearly, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate computers, cameras, and related tools Requires close visual acuity for detailed computer and design work, as well as photo editing and print production review Must have the ability to distinguish and accurately perceive a wide range of colors, critical for design consistency and photography accuracy Pay range: $100,000-$120,000 per year Competitive Paid Time Off A flexible health plan offering medical, dental, and vision benefits.
