With an increasing number of clients and cases, we are expanding our asbestos group and seeking talented Associate Attorneys to join our team in Chicago. Position Overview: We are seeking Associate Attorneys with 1-7 years of experience in asbestos litigation defense to join our expanding team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in asbestos litigation and a demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively. As a key member of our asbestos group, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel, representation, and strategic guidance to our clients in asbestos-related matters. Responsibilities: Conduct legal research and analysis on asbestos litigation defense matters. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses. Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and settlement negotiations. Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and legal staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Assist with trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings as needed. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and trends in asbestos litigation defense. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Illinois State Bar. 1-7 years of experience practicing asbestos litigation defense. Strong knowledge of asbestos-related laws, regulations, and litigation procedures. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
