We are seeking a dedicated and highly attentive Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse to join our intermediate care team. As a PCU Nurse, you will care for patients who are too ill for a general medical-surgical unit but stable enough to avoid the Intensive Care Unit. These patients often require close monitoring, advanced cardiac support, and frequent assessments as they transition between critical and stable conditions.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring telemetry, managing complex medication regimens, supporting post-surgical recovery, and responding to subtle changes in patient condition. You'll work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and fellow nurses to deliver targeted, evidence-based care with a focus on patient safety and progression toward discharge.
Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritize care for multiple patients with evolving needs. You will also play a key role in educating patients and families about recovery plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Requirements and Qualifications - Active RN license - BLS certification - Minimum of one (1.5) year of experience
About Us Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Hospital HVTI-Stepdown Float Pool.
AUTO OFFER - 3x12's ONLY Facility is willing to approve up to an 18 week contract. Please confirm desired length of contract at time of submission.
D/N rotating shift: 7pm-7:30am/7am-7:30pm (shift typically consists of 2 weeks D, 2 weeks N IF NEEDED TO MEET THE OPERATIONAL NEEDS OF THE HOSPITAL, Facility will do their best to honor travelers preferred shift but reserve the right to rotate them if necessary.) MUST HAVE 18 months of PERM experience in specialty applying for PRIOR to travel. MUST HAVE 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown experience - travel experience will suffice. PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required. MUST HAVE PERM OHIO LICENSE OR COMPACT STATE LICENSE IN HAND AHA BLS & ACLS, NIH required.
Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation, an acceptable score on both assessments is required. Qualivis Lotus will be used for submitting hours worked.
