Key Areas of Responsibilities: Ensure the quality of materials meet quality standards and customer requirements through proactive quality assurance, continuous improvement, and strong supplier relationships. Supplier Development: Collaborate with suppliers to enhance quality management systems and ensure compliance with company standards. Quality Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers to assess their quality processes and identify areas for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives at supplier locations to reduce defects and enhance overall quality. Problem Solving: Address and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures. Product Qualification: Ensure seamless supplier setup and execution of NPI material. Cost Out: Partner with suppliers to drive cost reductions in scope. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions. Training: Provide training and support to suppliers on quality standards, tools, and techniques. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to align supplier quality with company objectives. Compliance: Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on supplier quality performance to management. Skills and Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar role. Ideal candidate has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) Certification and at least 5 years of project execution using LSSGB methodologies. The preferred candidate will hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) Certification and have a minimum of 7 years of project execution via LSSBB methodologies. Proficiency in quality management tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues. Exceptional verbal and interpersonal/written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ability to lead and mentor supplier teams to achieve quality objectives. High attention to detail for accurate audits and assessments. Proactive attitude in identifying potential quality issues. Strong ethical standards and professionalism in supplier interactions. Creativity in developing new approaches to improve supplier quality. Certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor; ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor; QM, MD, AU, TL, AQ, and Certified Quality Engineer are highly desirable. Proficiency in PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Minitab). Proven ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity, and customer service. Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision. Understanding of manufacturing operations. Maximum of 50% travel to suppliers required. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, specifically Mechanical or Electrical. Advanced technical degrees or a Quality Management degree are a strong plus.
