Position Overview:
We seek an experienced and results-driven Performance Marketing Manager to define, execute, and optimize all paid media and ROI-driven acquisition campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling paid marketing programs across social, search, and other digital platforms while delivering measurable results against CAC, ROAS, and LTV targets.
As Honcho’s Performance Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing paid campaigns that scalably attract new community members, maximize participant registration conversion rates (across leagues, tournaments, and additional service offerings), and drive incremental revenue growth. This role requires a highly analytical, hands-on marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment and is motivated by hitting measurable performance goals.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive performance marketing strategies aligned with Honcho’s objectives.
Own and optimize the paid acquisition funnel from awareness through conversion, with a strong focus on lowering CAC and increasing LTV.
Conduct market and audience research to identify high-performing segments and test new targeting opportunities.
Continuously experiment with creative, copy, audiences, placements, and bidding strategies to maximize ROAS.
Partner with leadership to forecast and plan marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation across markets.
2. Campaign Management:
Design, launch, and optimize paid media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, and emerging channels.
Manage and optimize campaigns in HubSpot and supporting ad platforms to ensure consistent tracking and attribution.
Develop and execute retargeting strategies to re-engage high-intent users and increase registration conversion rates.
Build and manage email and SMS campaigns that complement paid ad efforts — driving nurture, conversion, and retention across the funnel.
Track, analyze, and report campaign performance weekly, with actionable recommendations.
Scale spend in high-performing markets while minimizing inefficiencies in underperforming ones.
Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed ROI targets.
Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure creative assets align with performance best practices.
Work with ambassadors, influencers, and player experience team members to amplify campaigns and drive measurable results.
Integrate paid efforts with email, SMS, and organic social to maximize full-funnel impact.
4. Analytics & Optimization:
Own marketing data and dashboards to monitor KPIs (CAC, ROAS, LTV, conversion rates).
Implement A/B testing frameworks across ad creative, landing pages, and funnel flows.
Use insights to optimize the customer journey from ad click to league/tournament registration.
Provide leadership with clear reporting, forecasts, and performance insights to guide strategic decisions.
About You:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
Experience: 4+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid media, or growth marketing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Skills:
Deep expertise in paid social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), SEM (Google Ads), and retargeting.
Proficiency in analytics and attribution tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, Ads Manager, etc.).
Strong knowledge of funnel optimization, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization.
Ability to analyze large data sets, draw insights, and translate them into actionable strategies.
Proven ability to craft high-performing email and SMS campaigns — including writing compelling subject lines, body copy, and CTAs that drive conversions.
Solid project management skills with ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Strong collaboration skills with creative, content, and operations teams.
