Are you passionate about creativity, connection, and supporting neurodivergent individuals in meaningful ways? The Arc San Francisco is looking for a curious, grounded, and open-minded person to join our team in a unique direct support role with an individual on the Autism Spectrum while they attend an Arts program.
In this role, you will be working one-on-one with a creative, articulate, and passionate individual who thrives on connection, art, and storytelling and who also seeks meaningful relationships and creative outlets. You’ll be providing support with building trust, encouraging growth, and holding space for someone who is struggling to navigate the world with a unique lens.
About the Art Program: ArtReach is a studio program for visual artists with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities focused on education, exploration and entrepreneurship. In a shared studio space, artists work in small groups or one on one with their instructors to learn new techniques, refine their skills, and build their personal portfolios in preparation for art sales and exhibition opportunities.

Who You Are
Creative & Appreciative of the Arts – You see value in self-expression and imagination. Comfortable with Neurodivergence – You understand or are eager to learn about supporting folx on the spectrum. Strong Sense of Self – You have clear boundaries, emotional steadiness, and a calm presence. Flexible & Open-Minded – You’re adaptable, curious, and not afraid to stretch your skills. Compassionate and Resourceful – When you are faced with interpersonal challenges. Positive Outlook – You celebrate and teach to people’s strengths. Comfortable Working with Men – The individual you’ll support is male-identifying. Inexperience is Welcome – You don’t have to have all the skills right now, just the willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, human-centered environment
