Senior Network Engineer

Overview Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Network Engineer shall be familiar with ATM, Frame Relay, and other networking technologies. Respond to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system. Perform network-related hardware and software system administration functions, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc., primarily during after-hours to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability. Designated persons shall be named to fill each shift during a 24x7x365 work week at the Washington Currency Facility - DCF, and Western Currency Facility - WCF (Fort Worth, TX) locations. The contractor shall name a lead Network Engineer responsible for leading the entire network support team as described in section 11.2 of this document and other relevant sections. Requirements: Must have at least four (4) years of experience working with TCP/IP networking environments, including familiarity with DNS. High level of familiarity with networking technologies and troubleshooting skills across all levels of network connectivity issues, including outages, switch failures, performance issues, NIC, cabling, and TCP/IP configuration. Knowledge of and familiarity with WAN technologies, including routers. Required Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cloud.
