About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Strategic Partnerships with a focus on planning and youth advocacy. This role is pivotal in the organization's mission to end youth homelessness by establishing and nurturing key partnerships that align with the vision of prevention, intervention, and restoration. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the International Youth Congress, engaging young people with lived experience to create youth-centric programs, and advocating for policy solutions that transform the systems impacting youth homelessness. Essential duties include forging strategic partnerships, providing mentorship to youth leaders, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance programmatic impact. The role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in advocacy, partnership development, and a deep commitment to social justice issues, particularly those related to youth empowerment and the prevention of homelessness. Applicants for the VP of Strategic Partnerships role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in advocacy, strategic partnership development, and impact enhancement within a non-profit or similar setting. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social justice, community organizing, and experience in areas such as economic empowerment, human trafficking, child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, and gender-based violence. Key skills include excellent communication, interpersonal skills, project management, and the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders. The role requires a collaborative leader who can operate at a high strategic level while also being hands-on in execution, and who is adept at fostering collective impact and promoting youth voice and expertise.
