About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to bring structure and scale to its fast-moving legal environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the in-office law firm and its remote team, with a focus on creating order, building reporting systems, and driving accountability across the organization. This role involves establishing a firm-wide operating rhythm, overseeing the full client process, aligning workflows between the legal team and the remote team, and partnering with finance on various operational aspects. The ideal COO will be an operator first, a reporting athlete, and a cross-functional glue, with a proven track record in senior operations leadership.
Applicants for the COO position at the company must have a background in a large plaintiff law firm or a similar professional services environment, or experience running large remote teams with strong reporting systems. Strong knowledge of KPI and reporting tools is essential, and familiarity with California HR compliance is a nice-to-have. The role requires a candidate who is LA-based and in-office, with the potential for a hybrid work model. The COO will be expected to be a pattern recognizer, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly, and to have a strong focus on building cadence, accountability, and reporting across multiple functions. If you are ready to take on the challenge of running a 200-person firm at scale and are adept at bringing order, reporting, and control to a high-impact environment, this opportunity is for you.
