The Role

We're seeking a Senior / Lead Frontend Developer with expertise in streaming application development (Roku G, FireTV, Samsung, or Vizio ) and React Native to take a central role in shaping the architecture, frameworks, and technical strategy of OrkaTV's applications. You’ll balance hands-on development with leadership responsibilities—driving quality, scalability, and innovation while mentoring others on the team.

Watch Orka is our streaming TV platform division, dedicated to seamless content integration, efficient operations, and delivering a groundbreaking viewing experience across connected devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, plan, and document scalable software solutions for CTV and mobile platforms.
• Lead framework and tooling decisions, ensuring long-term maintainability and performance.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce quality standards (e.g., four-eyes principle).
• Continuously optimize existing applications for stability, security, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with Roku and platform-specific security and data protection standards.
• Develop and maintain the OrkaTV app on Roku and/or other CTV platforms via React Native.
• Support technical planning, effort estimation, and sprint execution within an agile framework.
• Implement version control best practices (Git) and structured development workflows.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for internal knowledge sharing.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies (manual and automated).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges with precision and efficiency.

What You Bring

• Proven expertise in streaming application development (i.e. Roku G, FireTV, Samsung, or Vizio using BrightScript/SceneGraph) and React Native development.
• Strong background in component-based architecture, CTV/mobile UI paradigms, and cross-platform development.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable software with focus on performance, accessibility, and modularity.
• Solid understanding of platform-specific security guidelines and data protection best practices.
• Proficiency with REST API integration and data handling.
• Track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and code quality enforcement.
• Self-driven, proactive approach with an agile, collaborative mindset (SCRUM or similar).
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices.
