Your Role As VP of Finance, you will be the operational finance leader for our U.S. business, based full-time in our Boston office. Reporting to the Leadership team, you will drive day-to-day financial operations, oversee and consolidate state entities, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all finance functions. You will directly manage smaller regional accounting teams, ensuring alignment and consistency across all state operations. This is a hands-on, execution-focused leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis : Drive strategic financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making. Partner with the CFO and business leaders to align financial plans with corporate strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, and assess risks. Provide forward-looking insights to guide investment, resource allocation, and long-term sustainability. Strategic Finance Leadership: Oversee U.S. finance operations with a focus on enabling business growth, profitability, and scalability. Guide policies and priorities across accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment. State Entity Oversight & Consolidation: Lead financial oversight of multiple state entities, ensuring standardized processes, strong controls, and consistent reporting. Drive consolidation of financials to deliver unified performance insights and support enterprise-wide decision-making. Team Leadership & Development: Build and develop high-performing regional finance and accounting teams. Foster a culture of accountability, business partnership, and continuous improvement, enabling teams to move beyond transactional work toward value-added analysis. Process & Systems Optimization: Champion automation, system enhancements, and process redesigns to accelerate close cycles, improve accuracy, and provide real-time financial visibility. Apply data-driven insights to strengthen operational efficiency and scalability. Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with business leaders to manage budgets, monitor performance, and deliver actionable variance analysis. Support the CFO with rolling forecasts, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning to navigate changing market conditions. Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain rigorous internal controls and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Oversee audit readiness, tax filings, and regulatory obligations with a focus on proactive risk mitigation. Reporting & Executive Insights: Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and performance dashboards. Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that inform executive decision-making, drive margin improvement, and support strategic initiatives.
Experience & Skills Proven experience in operational finance leadership, ideally in high-growth or healthcare-related environments.
Experience overseeing multi-entity/state operations and consolidating financials.
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop regional or distributed accounting teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly data-driven.
Experience optimizing finance processes and systems for scale.
Hands-on, decisive, and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
Deep understanding of U.S. accounting, payroll, and compliance requirements.
