Job Title: Python/Devops Engineer
Location:
Sheffield 3 days a week onsite Qualifications and experience The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience. Comes from Software Engineering background with infrastructure experience. 5+ years of development experience with a strong focus on large-scale, distributed systems. Proficient in Golang and Python. Experience with Liquibase or similar tools for database change management and version control. Hands-on experience with GCP and AWS, including cloud- services, networking, IAM, and cost optimisation. Proven experience with DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and containerisation. Strong understanding of security principles in cloud and enterprise systems. Familiarity with audit and compliance considerations in regulated industries, particularly finance or banking. Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
