Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing automotive antennas and related components to ensure they meet specified quality standards. This role involves monitoring production processes, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality control principles and a commitment to maintaining a high level of product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Perform in-process and final inspections on automotive antennas, cables, and other related components.
Use a variety of measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and impedance analyzers, to verify product specifications.
Conduct visual and functional tests to ensure products are free from defects and meet performance requirements.
Document inspection results, non-conformances, and quality data accurately in quality management software or other tracking systems.
Investigate the root cause of quality issues and work with production and engineering teams to implement effective solutions.
Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control plans and inspection procedures.
Calibrate and maintain quality assurance equipment to ensure accuracy.
Participate in audits of production lines and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Provide feedback and training to production staff on quality procedures and best practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
Experience:
[Number] years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, with a preference for experience in an automotive or electronics manufacturing environment.
Skills: Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., PPAP, APQP, FMEA).
Familiarity with automotive industry quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949) is a plus.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Proficient in using measurement and test equipment relevant to electronics and mechanical components.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move objects up to [Weight] pounds.
