Key Responsibilities: • Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, brain studies, cardiac imaging, liver scans, renal studies, and PET/CT examinations • Conduct general nuclear medicine studies, Lexi scans, and specialized cardiac procedures • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents including adenosine infusions, captopril, and persantine infusions • Start and maintain peripheral IVs as needed for procedures • Operate nuclear medicine equipment including GE and Siemens systems • Perform EKGs and utilize PACS systems for image management • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 5-10 patients • Maintain current BLS and NMTCB certifications • Maintain valid California state license • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Float between all facilities within the state as assigned • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for duties • Complete compliance documentation and background requirements Job Requirements: Active, unencumbered license in CA Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable) Other Required Documentation: Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format) Two current clinical references State-required professional license Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months) TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months) Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted) Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations Must pass background check and drug screening Why Choose VitalHire: A modern, mobile-first platform built for how you want to work Clear, upfront pay rates - no surprises Book contracts and shifts on your schedule, 24/7 Maximize your take-home with top tier, tax-free housing & travel stipends Contract extension bonuses Referral rewards Optional retirement benefits One quick setup of your profile gives you immediate access to all job details, facilities, and complete control of your work-life balance.
