The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
Shift
: Monday to Friday, 12pm -8:30pm, will sometimes require flexible hours based on business needs
Job Summary
The Senior Associate, Warehouse Operations applies broad knowledge to ensure the integrity, quality, and accuracy of the facility's operations, which can include but is not assisting with QIC tasks (cycle counts, returns), hold new hire orientation and complete monthly training requirements, resolving inbound and outbound discrepancies, purchasing supplies, ensuring timely delivery of inbound and outbound containers and assisting in the transportation office. The Senior Associate executes the facility's standard operating procedures (SOPs) and responds effectively to routine and complex issues.
Qualifications
2-4 years of warehouse experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
Shipping / Receiving Clerk Experience preferred
Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
1-2 years warehouse training experience
Lean Six Sigma knowledge
Responsibilities
Coach and counsel new and existing employees per supervisor's request
Train and document all PIT training for entire building
Create a forecast for upcoming training
Help manage online training for all departments
Schedule classroom time with the employee and supervisor
Help in departments to stay up to date on current processes
Stay up to date on TEAMS message board for updates to training modules
File and maintain electronic copies of current training
Knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft office.
Site training for all Inbound and Outbound shifts
When not training, perform general warehouse duties
Learn and train on all functions within the warehouse
Be willing to train during the shift hours for new employees
Serves as a resource to other team members
What is expected of you and others at this level
Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works with limited supervision
Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
