The Network Architect is responsible for designing, supporting, managing, and maintaining the network infrastructure. This includes conducting network analysis, modeling, planning, and serving as an architect consultant for all network initiatives. The architect will design complex data center, LAN, and WAN strategies to meet diverse business needs, coordinate implementation, optimization, and operation of network systems, and provide strategic planning and recommendations. The role requires understanding business expectations, partnering with technology teams, and utilizing a strategic long-term vision. This position is located in Arlington, VA, with in-office work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Friday. Responsibilities

Coordinate network strategies, participate in technology selection, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure long-term infrastructure planning. Develop and communicate strategic plans for infrastructure and enterprise architecture solutions with executive leadership. Serve as a technical expert for enterprise-wide network infrastructure technology. Help advance Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) initiatives. Define principles and standards for infrastructure and architecture. Lead vendor evaluation and selection of network solutions. Design and implement new network solutions and improve existing networks. Install, configure, and support network equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, and monitoring tools. Design, deploy, and support data centers, LANs, WANs, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, and related hardware. Research industry developments and oversee upgrades of equipment, hardware, and software. Interact with vendors and manage procurement and subcontractors. Maintain proper documentation of network designs and solutions. Create technical deliverables such as design diagrams and planning guides. Develop system/network performance criteria and evaluate technology advancements. Research current technologies and provide ongoing updates to management. Design and support legacy networks and Aruba ClearPass policies. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. 10+ years of experience in enterprise network design, implementation, and support. Cisco routing and switching experience. Experience with NextGen Firewalls, wireless, load balancers, and network integration. Certifications: CCDP, CCNP Routing & Switching, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Wireless. Preferred Skills
