Position Overview:
Kerkering Barberio seeks a strategic, experienced
S enior Tax Manager to lead and expand an established book of business, develop and mentor a strong team, and create a strategy and vision for growing the practice. Reporting to the Managing Shareholder, this is a high-impact leadership role with an existing book of business and full firm support. This role is on a "clear path" to a future Shareholder opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing tax team. Oversee client lifecycle and implement strategic initiatives. Partner with firm leadership on growth, staffing, and operations. Represent the firm in the community and professional networks. Manage and grow client relationships. Deliver strategic tax solutions for clients. Expand the practice through outreach and referrals. Reviewing complex tax returns including international, federal and multi-state returns for high-net-worth individuals Supervise the preparation and review of tax filings, both domestic and international (e.g., 1040NR) Advise on cross-border transactions, GILTI, foreign credits, and U.S. tax treaties. Apply current tax law to optimize client outcomes. The successful candidate will bring: 10+ years of U.S. tax experience with international exposure. Expertise in individual and business tax returns. Strong leadership and mentorship record. A CPA is required. Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and client focused. Seniority level
