Vice President of Finance ($180,000 – $200,000 base salary + bonus) LHH - Fully Onsite in Irving, TX LHH is seeking a Vice President of Finance for a client in the facilities services industry located in Irving, Texas. This executive-level role involves overseeing the full spectrum of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and strategic financial planning, with direct impact on company growth and project success. In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (with a CPA required and MBA preferred), the ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including several years in a senior leadership role. Prior experience in a project-based industry such as construction is desired, and public accounting experience is required (Big 4 background preferred), along with deep knowledge of GAAP, strong financial modeling capabilities, and proven success mentoring high-performing teams. Client Benefits Healthcare / dental vision insurance Bonus eligibility Responsibilities Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership, guiding key business decisions with data-driven insights. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to align with business planning and support on-time project delivery. Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, providing strategic recommendations based on financial analysis. Lead financial planning and strategy to optimize capital structure and long-term company profitability. Direct treasury and cash management activities, ensuring liquidity and strong banking relationships. Supervise and develop finance and accounting staff, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Evaluate and implement financial systems and automation tools to drive efficiency and scalability. Maintain compliance with tax regulations, audit standards, and internal controls, proactively managing financial risks. Monitor project-specific financial performance to ensure budget adherence, profitability, and contract compliance. Regularly present financial performance, forecasts, and KPIs to stakeholders including the board and investors. Client Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA is a firm requirement; MBA strongly preferred. At least 8–12 years of finance leadership experience, with 3–5 years in a senior financial role. Strong tenure and job stability is required. Proven background in a project-oriented industry such as construction or professional services is preferred. Mastery of GAAP, budgeting, and financial modeling, with strong business acumen. Proficiency in Excel and ERP platforms; experience leading system implementations or finance tech enhancements is a plus. Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
