Direct message the job poster from Ascendion Our established employment law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join our litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to advocate for individual employees who have faced workplace injustices. Position Overview: You will manage an active caseload of approximately 25 single-plaintiff employment matters, with a primary focus on wrongful termination claims. This role requires independent case management from intake through resolution, including trial preparation when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Manage all phases of employment litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses Draft and respond to written discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission) Prepare and argue motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions Handle discovery disputes and meet-and-confer obligations Conduct client interviews and maintain regular client communication Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations Draft legal briefs and memoranda Manage case calendars and court deadlines Required Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school 3+ years of employment litigation experience, preferably plaintiff-side Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of discovery practice Strong experience with motion practice, particularly summary judgment briefing Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines Trial experience preferred but not required Case Types: Wrongful termination Discrimination (Title VII, ADA, ADEA) Harassment and retaliation claims Wage and hour violations Breach of employment contracts What we Offer: The annual salary for this position is between $200,00-$250,000 annually, plus a percentage of cases. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
