**Job Description: Emergency Department Registered Nurse**
**Shift:** Nights (12-hour shift, 18:45 - 7:15 AM)
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. - Perform thorough assessments and develop appropriate care plans. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. - Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding care and treatment options. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols. - Support and mentor junior nursing staff and assist in training new employees.
**Qualifications:** - Three (3) years of recent experience in an Emergency Department required. - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. - Travel nursing experience with at least one completed contract assignment. - High volume/fast pace experience preferred. - Current New Jersey RN License or Compact Licensure. - Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. - Certifications that are pending or expiring within 30 days of submission will not be accepted.
**Additional Information:** - Weekend work is required every other week. - Must be available for holiday shifts as needed. - Request time off (RTO) is limited to no more than three days. - No block scheduling or special requests will be accommodated.
**Orientation:** To ensure a smooth onboarding process, candidates must complete the full orientation schedule without rescheduling. An email detailing orientation and the required modules will be sent prior to start. Attendance at both virtual and in-person classes is mandatory, and all assignments must be completed by the specified deadlines to retain your position.
