Sourcing & Production Manager

to lead sourcing strategies, manage overseas production, and oversee vendor relationships. This role ensures quality, cost targets, and timelines are met each season while supporting product development and merchandising. The ideal candidate has deep experience in accessories manufacturing, a strong vendor network, knowledge of sewing/construction, and the ability to lead costing and compliance conversations confidently. Sourcing Research, evaluate, and onboard new factory partners, materials suppliers, and vendors Develop and implement sourcing strategies by category (e.g., fabric, packaging, hardware) that meet pricing, quality, and sustainability standards Maintain vendor tracking logs, calendars, and documentation to ensure transparency and alignment Build strong, long-term relationships with key partners; coordinate virtual or in-person site visits when needed Establish development packages and standards for new factories and partners Production & Costing Lead seasonal costing efforts including pre-costing, BOM (bill of materials), and margin tracking Maintain and monitor product cost logs and communicate margin impact across teams Oversee the creation and review of bulk tech packs, prototypes, pre-production samples, and final products to ensure alignment with SCOUT quality standards Manage the issuance of seasonal POs and tracking of goods from order to delivery Build and update seasonal buy sheets for planning and inventory teams Review and act on 3rd-party inspection reports and damage data to improve product outcomes Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate closely with Product Development, Design, Content, and Planning teams throughout the seasonal process Help manage product lifecycle and coordinate seasonal packaging, labeling, and compliance needs Participate in strategic planning meetings and help drive cross-functional communication regarding timelines, exceptions, and seasonal risks Troubleshoot production or vendor-related issues and provide solutions in real time
