Electronic Trading Support Engineer One of the world's top five propriety trading firms is looking for an Electronic Trade Systems Engineer to join their global production systems team. Youll be responsible for managing new initiatives and ensuring a smooth trading day. You will be the first line of defence when the inevitable happens, and the subject matter expert on recent changes to the production trading platform. Responsibilities Deploy, monitor, and optimize systems that support the entire lifecycle of mission-critical trading systems applications Troubleshoot (in real time) production trading issues for a high frequency trading floor in a competitive market making environment interacting with end-users (traders, researchers, and fellow engineers) Script against configuration files, databases, and logs Expand and improve upon existing processes, pipelines, and systems for trading research, development, deployment, configuration management, and monitoring Partner closely with the core dev, research, and trading teams to deploy fixes, new features, and firm-wide solutions and allow the company to continue to scale Requirements Experience working in the trading industry supporting electronic trading systems Script development experience, preferably with Python or Bash Experience supporting high-performance applications, process monitoring, and troubleshooting Working knowledge of SQL, Ansible, Redis, and data administration Broad technical knowledge including some understanding of Linux (threading, memory management), networking (TCP and UDP), software lifecycle processes Experience with C++ beneficial Excellent opportunity with a top tier trading business; rewarding package on offer with high growth career progression.
