Systems Integration Lead
Maxar is hiring a Systems Integration Lead for a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment and will be responsible for the oversight and overall delivery of HPC and private cloud solutions developed for multiple customer program offices. As the Systems Integration Lead for the HPC solutions team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall work effort and products of the engineering and system administration staff over the full lifecycle of programs and projects for engineering, integration and deployment. This includes performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, architecture design, integration, system testing, system/tenant monitoring, and quality assurance. This role requires exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness to oversee system definition, technical planning, and execution across different parts of the program. Day-to-day, the Systems Integration Lead will be the central point-of-contact for internal cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, DevOps) in delivery of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) to tenant systems hosted on the USG private cloud. Candidate will need a balance of technical understanding and mission application in order to communicate across many different teams, customers, government leaders/mission partners. Candidate will learn the breadth of platform technical capabilities and how that translates to Tenant programs' use of the platform. Must excel in managing tenant partnerships. Manage multiple projects (~10 on average) simultaneously, delivering the same level of service to the mission partners and their programs on the AAP. Requirements Development & Management
Assist customer with continuously updating Service Level Agreement (SLA) Interface directly with main customer and multiple mission partners from the IC/DOD. Lead pre-integration project engagements, requirements development/management, technical exchange meetings (TEMs), risk reduction evolutions, MVP consensus, and expectation management - from the beginning of a project through execution and closeout Conduct sprint planning activities, mid-sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives in cooperation with the Lead Systems Engineer and other team leads Assist the Lead Systems Engineer with program technical roadmap development Technical
Understand tenants' application of OpenStack, Kubernetes Monitor Grafana dashboards and update and improve where necessary Confluence administrator for centralized site(s) for tenants and their teams and our internal team as a collaborative space Create and update systems engineering artifacts in GitLab to include epics, milestones and issues Create, update and maintain technical roadmap artifacts in GitLab and MS Project Cybersecurity

We are a multi-faceted software development and systems administration team working to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed high-performance compute (HPC) infrastructure on a private cloud system. We are responsible for the system from the hardware to the user interface. We use a lean systems engineering approach, where engineers are part of an agile, cross-function development and deployment team and directly involved in supporting the delivery of value to the mission. Our diverse background of experience in mission support and software development serves as a catalyst to solve unique and challenging intelligence problems. Prototyping and frequent, iterative feedback are core to our delivery approach, anchored by a need to work quickly in support of our missions. You Will Also Provide:
Technical support, coordination, and execution of engineering activities for hardware, platforms, and software development and deployment - including feature/requirements analysis, design and program implementation Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility Lead the development and maintenance of system documentation, diagram, and models working in coordination/collaboration with team members Obtain solid understanding of hardware and software features in order to plan for engineering requirements and roadmaps Assist with resolution of technical issues that adversely impact delivery, identifying and supporting external dependencies where needed Keeps abreast of the dynamic industry of cyber security, technologies, and developing threats world-wide. Partner with cross-departmental management to coordinate initiatives in line with the overall program strategy and an emerging perspective focusing on secure HPC. Manage/supervise professional staff, demonstrating strong delegation skills to efficiently accomplish the mission and professionally develop subordinate staff. Minimum Requirements:
Current/active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to obtain CI polygraph. BS in Geography, Information Systems, Engineering or related field with 8 years of relevant experience in computer science, systems development, product development, system engineering or related field Experience in leading a professional staff, demonstrating strong leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals. Ability to set and balance short and long-term priorities and remain focused within a rigorous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
