Description
Tahoe Donner Association is looking for a fun and personable
Food and Beverage Front-of-House Supervisor
to join our Winter Food and Beverage team! The Front-of-House Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of cafeteria cashiers, bartenders, and custodial staff at the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort. This position ensures a high level of guest service, operational efficiency, and cleanliness throughout all public-facing areas. The supervisor coordinates scheduling, monitors inventory and cleanliness standards, provides staff training and support, and works collaboratively with the Food & Beverage and Operations teams to maintain a welcoming and well-run environment. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills are essential in delivering a positive guest experience and supporting team success during the busy winter season.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, business partners and employees. Ensures all staff meet or exceed the highest level of guest service in the performance of their duties. Supervise daily operations of cafeteria cashiers, bartenders, and custodial staff to ensure smooth and efficient front-of-house service. Schedule, train, and support front-of-house staff, ensuring proper coverage during peak and off-peak hours. Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all guest-facing areas, including the cafeteria, bar, restrooms, and common spaces. Ensure cash handling procedures and POS systems are followed accurately and securely by cashier and bar staff. Oversee restocking and inventory of front-of-house supplies, including condiments, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and bar items. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment with a strong focus on guest service. Respond to and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a timely, professional manner. Communicate regularly with Food & Beverage Managers and Mountain Operations to coordinate events, staffing, and facility needs. Conduct regular inspectionsto ensure facility readiness, appearance, and safety. Support emergency response efforts and enforce health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

TIPS alcoholic beverage control certification and Safe Food Handling Certification required. Experience interfacing with employees and guests in highly charged environments while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines. Ability to move throughout all food and beverage areas and continuously perform essential job functions. Experience with Microsoft Office products and specialized restaurant computerized POS systems, such as ALOHA is preferred.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through four (4) years of related experience and/or training in the food and beverage industry including serving, bartending and cash handling experience; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
