CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years! We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions focused on debt and derivative securities, leveraging Java, AWS, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will contribute to modernizing trading systems, support both modern and legacy applications, and ensure smooth DevSecOps practices within an agile environment. You will also play a key role in production support, issue triage, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications to Be Successful in This Role
8+ years of relevant experience Expert-level proficiency in Java, AWS, and microservices architecture Strong experience with enterprise application integration Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Proven ability to analyze, design, develop, and test complex systems Experience supporting production environments and resolving technical issues Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and agile methodologies Ability to work on both greenfield and legacy applications Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Effective communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Java certifications) are a plus Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
