Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Vascular Interventional Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/26/2025 Duration: 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Vascular Interventional Technologist – Critical Need (Travel) Client: Zion Medical Center Location: San Diego, California (CA 92120) Contract Duration: 26 weeks (184 days) Shift: 10-hour shifts, 07:00 AM – 05:00 PM (Day shift) Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week Position Summary: The Vascular Interventional Technologist will support the Imaging Services department by performing specialized diagnostic and therapeutic vascular/interventional radiology procedures. The technologist works closely with physicians and the clinical care team to ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced hospital environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform vascular and interventional radiology procedures under the direction of physicians. Operate imaging systems, fluoroscopy equipment, and assist with catheterizations and interventions. Prepare patients for procedures, monitor vitals, and ensure comfort and safety throughout. Maintain accurate imaging documentation and adhere to hospital policies and compliance standards. Participate in standby/on-call coverage for after-hours, weekends, and holidays. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient care outcomes. Assist in quality assurance and equipment care/maintenance. Required Qualifications: Licensure/Certifications (must have): California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) with Fluoroscopy Permit – required. ARRT (R) – required. BLS (Basic Life Support) – required. Preferred Certifications: Advanced qualification ARRT – Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV). California Venipuncture Certificate. Experience: Minimum 2 years of vascular interventional technologist experience .
