Principal Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal / Lead Platform Engineer with deep expertise in cloud automation and the AWS ecosystem to drive the design, build, and operation of secure, scalable platforms that deliver mission-critical products for our clients. This is a senior-level role where you’ll set technical direction and collaborate across teams to enable rapid, secure delivery in the cloud.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud platforms on AWS .
• Build and automate workflows leveraging AWS Control Tower, IAM, Cloud WAN, SCPs, VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, and EKS .
• Define and implement automation using Terraform, AWS CDK, TypeScript, and Python .
• Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes , including EKS add-ons and advanced configurations.
• Actively participate in scrum ceremonies, daily stand-ups, and code reviews .
• Troubleshoot customer issues and ensure platform reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product teams to build a cloud-native platform that enables fast, secure product delivery for clients.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience as a DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineer (with at least 3+ years in a lead or principal role ).
• Extensive AWS ecosystem experience across core services: Control Tower, Cloud WAN, IAM, SCPs, EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and EKS.
• Strong expertise in automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, GitHub workflows).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations , including add-ons and advanced configurations.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python for platform automation.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with experience running agile ceremonies and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to balance security, scalability, and speed of delivery in a client-facing environment.
