Job Title: Machine Learning Systems Engineer

Location: On-site - Redmond, WA

Duration: 12 Months

Top 3 Must-Have Skills

Strong Python development and infrastructure experience.

Expertise with PyTorch or similar AI/ML frameworks.

Experience with distributed infrastructure.

Good to Have

Experience with complex, real-world multimodal data.

Background in audio ML or AR/VR.

Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable code, debug complex problems across systems, and deliver results efficiently.

Build robust, flexible, and scalable ML tooling and infrastructure to support research scientists (e.g., source control, distributed compute clusters, data storage).

Collaborate with internal infrastructure and tooling teams to evaluate and integrate with existing systems.

Work closely with a multifunctional team where communication, documentation, and teamwork are highly valued.

Continuously learn, explore new technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem-solving.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

4+ years of industry experience with deep learning frameworks in Python (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).

2+ years of experience working with large, complex datasets for machine learning (capture and annotation).

Proven experience implementing and evaluating end-to-end prototypical learning systems.

Experience with high-performance or distributed compute solutions.

Familiarity with deployment and continuous integration.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Machine Learning for audio, multimodal, or DSP applications.

Experience with AR/VR applications.

Proficiency with Linux or Windows shell scripting.

Ability to gather requirements and collaborate with researchers on novel solutions.

Track record of writing code to support research initiatives.
