Job Title: Loan Processor Specialist I (Temporary Assignment)
Location: Onsite in Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $22 per hour
General Description:
We are seeking a Direct Loan Processor Specialist I for a temporary onsite role in Sacramento. The primary focus of this position is to provide efficient, accurate, and professional support throughout the consumer loan process-from application through funding.
This role requires handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to consumer loans while managing loan applications simultaneously. Strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential. You'll also assist internal staff with escalations, complex questions, and loan-related issues, ensuring exceptional service is provided at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations related to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws.
  • Manage a large volume of loan-related calls while processing applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Collect and verify documentation, prepare loan documents, and ensure all information is processed with minimal errors.
  • Work with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to obtain and verify lien documentation for loan collateral.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support loan processing and resolve escalated issues.
  • Audit loan documents and reports for compliance, accuracy, and authenticity.
  • Identify and help mitigate potential fraud, suspicious activity, or identity theft.
  • Conduct interviews, review proof of income, and perform financial calculations to determine loan eligibility.
  • Prepare loan packages for member signatures and coordinate loan disbursement.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, including dealerships and finance companies.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support via phone, email, chat, and online communication channels.
  • Participate in online meetings and video conferencing as required.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a fast-paced, high-volume call center or loan processing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
  • Empathetic, professional, and customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of consumer loans (auto, personal, etc.) and DMV lien/titling processes a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be comfortable sitting for extended periods; ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
Internal & External Contacts:
  • Work closely with managers, supervisors, branch staff, and internal service teams.
  • Collaborate with members, dealerships, and external finance companies to facilitate loan processing.
Pay Details: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour
