People Services (HR) Systems Administrator
The People Services (HR) Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and optimization of Terranea's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and related applications. This role ensures HR technology solutions are accurate, efficient, secure, and aligned with business and compliance needs. The PS Systems Administrator works closely with the People Services team, Payroll, Finance, IT, and department leaders to support system processes, data integrity, reporting, and employee self-service tools.
Responsibilities
System Administration & Maintenance
- Serve as the primary administrator for the HRIS, benefits, and talent management systems.
- Configure system workflows, security roles, and business processes to meet organizational needs.
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, coordinating with IT and vendors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with HR, Payroll, and IT teams.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records, organizational charts, and job data within HR systems.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Develop, generate, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc reports for leadership and compliance purposes.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, support decision-making, and measure program effectiveness.
User Support & Training
- Provide technical support to PS team, leaders, and employees on system use and functionality.
- Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and FAQs.
- Conduct system training sessions for PS team members and managers as needed.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure systems comply with federal, state, and local HR and payroll regulations (e.g., FLSA, ACA, EEOC).
- Manage data security settings and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Oversee accurate completion of compliance reporting such as ACA, EEO-1, and other required filings.
Vendor & Project Management
- Serve as the point of contact for HRIS vendors, benefits carriers, and related third-party systems.
- Lead or participate in HR technology implementation and integration projects.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency and user experience.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the People Services office
- Assist in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- Provide ongoing support for the People Services Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in HRIS administration or HR systems support.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Ceridian, or similar required.
- Hospitality industry experience preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in reporting tools and data analysis (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to train and support users at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications
- HRIP (Human Resource Information Professional) or similar certification preferred but not required.
Miscellaneous Skills:
- HRIS Systems (UKG or of the like)
- ATS Systems (ICIMS or of the like)
- Benefit systems (Benefit Solver or of the like)
- Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation:
Base Pay Start Rate: $70,000 - $72,000/Yr
