We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing the transportation and movement of goods, ensuring seamless coordination with carriers, clients, and internal teams. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the transportation of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with carriers, shippers, and receivers to track shipments and address any issues that arise.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for pickups, deliveries, and warehouse activities.
  • Maintain accurate records by entering shipment details, updates, and documentation into logistics software.
  • Verify billing information and process proof of delivery documents while managing additional charges.
  • Prepare performance reports on a daily and weekly basis to monitor metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes and improve service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns efficiently.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations roles, preferably within manufacturing or warehousing.
  • Strong knowledge of freight, drayage, and transportation processes.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP systems, and billing functions is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
