About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Apple Infrastructure, to lead the development and maintenance of systems, tools, and pipelines that support our iOS, tvOS, and visionOS applications. You will oversee a team focused on scalability, reliability, performance, and developer efficiency, enabling our teams to deliver top-tier experiences to millions of users. You will mentor and grow your team, manage platform-wide systems, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and tooling, and collaborate with engineering leadership to shape our Apple ecosystem's future. This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA, reporting to the Director of Engineering, Apple. Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the infrastructure engineering team and oversee agile ceremonies. Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and foster a collaborative environment. Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate updates. Oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools. Manage system incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventative measures. Monitor system performance and lead optimization efforts. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings for feedback and development. Lead hiring and onboarding to expand team capabilities. Key Qualifications Experience managing infrastructure or platform engineering teams, preferably within the Apple ecosystem. Strong background in CI/CD tools and automation practices. Hands-on experience with build systems and artifact management for Apple platforms. Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools. Understanding of performance profiling and optimization for Apple applications. Incident management skills and experience with root cause analysis. Mentoring skills and talent development experience. Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with agile practices and delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
