The ideal candidate has over 2 years of recent Med Surg experience with Neuro/Stroke patient care exposure and is confident working independently with EPIC EMR. Note: Traveler will be required to float to all campuses within their pertinent skillset and unit they are contracted for. Responsibilities * Deliver safe, effective nursing care to adult Med-Surg patients, with a focus on Neurological and Stroke cases * Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and update care plans accordingly * Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams * Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient tracking * Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition * Float to appropriate units as needed, based on skills and assignment Experience: * Minimum 2+ years of recent Med-Surg RN experience * Demonstrated experience with Neuro/Stroke patient management * Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but not required * BLS (AHA only) * NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Licensure: Active Iowa RN license OR Compact State license in good standing HumanEdge Travel Healthcare Job ID #11301.
